– Equitable Access Program

Removing barriers to improve access to innovative pain & mental health care.

The SABI Equitable Access Program

The SABI Equitable Access Program aims to improve access to chronic pain and mental health care for members of historically underserved, underrepresented or low income patient populations by reducing financial barriers. As the lead partner, SABI Mind will provide discounted or subsidized treatment for those that might benefit from psychedelic-assisted therapies. While this program will initially begin by providing treatments at a reduced cost and/or additional financial support, SABI will continue to explore other strategies to reduce obstacles to access for patients in need.

The following groups are automatically eligible to receive 10% from all services. Please note that discount services cannot be stacked.

  • Those that are aged 65 years or older. (Confirmed via Provincial or federal ID).

  • Any profession that is defined as an essential service by the government of Alberta and/or the federal government (not including those in the hospitality industry). This applies to: health and medical, public safety and security, food and shelter, energy, utilities, transportation, industrial, oil and gas, construction, agriculture, essential retail, financial services, information and telecommunications, and public administration and government. (Confirmed via proof of employment such as a recent pay stub).

  • As part of the Hospitality Healing Project, this group includes anyone that works in the hospitality industry (i.e. restaurants, bars and hotels). (Confirmed via proof of employment such as a recent pay stub).

  • Those with low levels of discretionary income struggling to pay for expenses outside of the essentials. (No proof necessary; self-affirmed).
