Beyond The Call
A First Responder Group Therapy &
Peer Support Program
For Those Who Serve — A Space to Heal
Every day, first responders step forward into moments of chaos, crisis and care — protecting others at great personal cost.
Beyond The Call was created for you — firefighters, police officers, paramedics, corrections officers and frontline professionals who hold the line when others cannot.
Built on the belief that those who put others first deserve care that puts them first, this program offers a safe and supportive environment to process trauma, restore balance and reconnect with yourself and your community.
Why Beyond The Call Matters
First responders face daily exposure to stress, trauma, and life-or-death decisions. Over time, these experiences can take a quiet but profound toll — on mental health, relationships, sleep and overall well-being.
Beyond The Call is a specialized group therapy and peer support program that helps first responders navigate the psychological and emotional impact of service. It’s more than therapy — it’s a movement to honor and care for those who protect us.

Led with Experience and Empathy
At the heart of the program is Jessica Van Der Hoek, Advanced Care Paramedic, who brings both clinical understanding and lived frontline experience.
Having served in emergency medical services herself, Jessica understands the unspoken pressures and the lasting effects of repeated exposure to trauma. Her presence bridges the responder community and the SABI Mind clinical team — offering authenticity, trust and understanding that only lived experience can provide.
Together, our team of psychologists and advanced care paramedics create a compassionate, evidence-based environment where participants can safely explore, release and rebuild.
